The Going 4 Broke Outdoors Podcast

Going 4 Broke Outdoors Podcast | Episode 11 | Tim Bunao | 2 Years of Lessons Learned Hunting the West

July 30, 2021

In today’s episode, we welcome Tim Bunao. Tim is a die-hard archery hunter originally from upstate New York who now calls Montana home. He also happens to be my elk hunting partner and an all around great dude. In this episode, Tim and I recap our lessons learned from our first two seasons hunting in the west as transplants from the Midwest and the East. We discuss our pre-conceptions of what we thought hunting in the west would be like and what it has actually turned out to be like. We cover lessons learned on whitetail, mule deer, antelope, and elk. We also discuss how our gear has evolved, what we now throw in our packs and gear we wouldn’t want to live without. For anyone planning their first western hunt, you won’t want to miss this episode.
